The latest BMW 5-Series or codenamed F10 was officially launched recently. Among the highlights is the changes to the exterior design which is more muscular and bigger than it's predecessor, plus the comeback of BMW's driver orientated center console and the circular gauges on the instrument panel. The F10 length increases from the previous 4,841mm to 4,899mm and additional 80mm from the previous wheelbase making it 2.968mm. There's also a revised in the powertrain, with engine lineup that includes turbocharged inline-six and V8 engines.

This new model is also has the largest whellbase in the segment, which brings more legroom to the rear passengers with extra 13mm compare to the E60 model. The F10 also comes with a whopping 520-litre boot space with the option of split folding rear seats.

Carrying the same platform as the previously announced 5-Series GT and also the 7-Series sedan, this car also comes with tons of gadgets such as Electric Power Steering with Servotronic assist, Variable Damper Control, Adaptive Drive package, Drive Dynamic Control, Brake Energy Regeneration system, Auto Start-Stop and many more.

In addition to all that, the new 5-Series will be available with standard and optional items, namely Head-up Display, Night Vision for pedestrian recognition, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, Speed Limit info, Surround View system that uses camera in the side mirrors and front wheel arches with Park Distance Control.

The 2011 5-Series is scheduled to go on sale in Europe in March 2010, and shortly after in North America and other international markets.

P/S : Be it any model of the 5-Series, I don't think I can afford it forever. But it will forever be my favourite super sedan car! (might be able if miracle happens with Nuffnang..hehe)

P/S P/S : Don't be suprised. This is NOT one of BMW's new line-up, although both have similar nose grill.. LOL :P
