MALACCA: A worker was killed and seven others injured in a gas explosion at the food court of the Aeon Jusco mall at Jalan Legenda in Bachang here at 1pm on Monday.
The incident happened as workers and tenants were rushing to make final preparations for the shopping mall’s grand opening on Dec 17.

The blast was said to have taken place at the food court section of the mall and tore a 2m hole in the wall, shattering glass and debris over a 25m radius.
The dead man was identified as Tan Kwan Hai, a 25-year-old local. Three other workers are in critical condition with the rest suffering blast wounds.
All the wounded were rushed to the Malacca Hospital for treatment. - THE STAR

wah...shopping mall is so unsafe nowadays
not sure if its the shopping mall, or the way the workers did their job that is unsafe.
we can't put the blame directly to the shopping mall itself.
