Why Maybank should give me tickets to Legoland

One of the highlights last week was the official opening of LEGOland Malaysia; the first LEGOland theme park in Asia. The 30.7 hectares theme park is located in Nusajaya and it's the sixth worldwide (Yay Malaysia!). Obviously I've never been to a LEGOland theme park before, but I can imagine lot's and lot's of lego bricks there. Of course, one of the biggest LEGO replica built at the theme park is our own Twin Towers.

Not sure about kids nowadays (especially during the tech toys era with smartphones, tablets etc), LEGO was among the toys I've played during my childhood. LEGO definitely has influenced our lives across the world and brings out our creativity. I've read somewhere that people who play with LEGO are using their constructive skills, which also brings out imagination, role playing and learning skills. No wonder our generation are creative! (heh, angkat bakul)

So last week, when I was checking my account balance with M2U (calculating, planning on the going to LEGOland :P) I saw this promotion/contest advertisement.

OMG, OMG. Maybank is giving out free tickets to LEGOland!!! Free tickets! I repeat, FREE TICKETS to LEGOland Malaysia!! Who could resist free offerings??? Then I checked out how to participate;

So why Maybank should give me tickets to LEGOland?? Because I want to expose my 2 year old son to the magical world of LEGO. I want him to enjoy the unlimited open-ended possibilities with the LEGO bricks. There is more than one way to play with a set of LEGOs. In fact, the name LEGO came from a Danish phrase "Leg Godt" which means "Play Well". I'm really looking forward getting my son his first LEGO sets and hopefully it can help with his sorting skills, fine-motor development and also how to think in 3 dimensions (sounds bogus huh?). 

I may sound a bit "out-dated", but I prefer my son to play toys that he can actually touch, see and feel rather than spending hours playing games on a smart phone or tablet (which is also a reason why children nowadays wears spectacle at very early age).

Anyway, when the time comes, I'm definitely will be heading to LEGOland sooner or later with my family to experience the world of LEGO at LEGOland Malaysia. And do remind me to wear this t-shirt when that day comes.

If I Had Rapunzel's Hair

Ok, apa kejadah aku nak rambut macam Rapunzel. Rapunzel tu pompuan punn kan? Aku lelaki sejati.. (itu yang kau ucapkan). Tapi dek kerana dah lama tak tengok wayang, aku pun terbuka hati nak cuba (kau cuba) nasib dengan nuffnang giveaway kali ini. Sejak tengok Inception yang best gila best tu, aku takde masa nak tulis entri contest. Kali ini tetiba jumpa masa.

Rambut yang panjang aku boleh gunting-gunting buat wig untuk orang lain. Tengok lah kat bawah ni, baru suku rambut je aku guna. Bayangkan satu kepala tu aku jual RM1000, fuih untung-untung boleh beli kete Bentley. Eh dah macam MLM jual wig pulak..no no no no..say no to MLM ok. Haha

The iPhone 4 entry returns. Don't worry uolss, this will be the last entry. And it will be LEGENDARY! (but since I'm on the verge of winning it, there could be a few more entries just to show off the new iPhone 4 to uolss lah). This time around, I have to write something with an entry entitled "DiGi iPhone 4 Life". Basicly no specific requirement, but I have to "show how desperate I am" for the iPhone by putting up a picture with an iPhone 4 template given. Haha Yeah right. Err, why am I writing this again?? Ah the free sebijik iPhone 4 by Nuffnang and DiGi eh. (btw, I'm not desperate ok. True Story)

Luckily this desperate guy is not me. Pffftt!

Beside showing off the iPhone 4 to friends and foes, I would love to try those apps downloadable from iTunes.  Most of the iPhone apps looks cute, and some of them are quite useful.

250,000+ and counting. That's the amount of Applications we can download into the iPhone 4 from iTunes. Talk about time wasters. Apple have it all, Haha. Be it apps on games, for work, leisure, hobby, for kids, financial management, and many more.

Some examples of apps from iTunes that I might download once I have an iPhone 4 :

I am a radio addict, and listen to Hot.FM, and Fly.FM most of the time. Good time waster during boring meetings and long distance travelling on the bus/train.

This is quite interesting. At least I can find the nearest ATM anytime, anywhere. A time saving apps. Macam superhero! So whenever your friend tries to avoid paying for foods, just guide them to the nearest ATM.

Seriously I could use this KL Train Guide apps. I'm totally a noob when travelling around KL. And with this, I can avoid all the traffic and make use of the PUTRA LRT. At least I can plan my walkabouts.

So Nuffnang is giving out an iPhone4 to a lucky nuffnang blogger. That means I have plenty of chance to win this smartphone provided that all other few hundred thousand bloggers didn't participated. OK FINE. Just checked the blog post at Nuffnang, and there's already more than 100+ blog entries. Damn it!

Time for my entry. Now let's get straight to the point. I need the DiGi iPhone 4 just like anyone else does. Who doesn't? Malaysian do love free stuffs, especially free iPhones.

Why Need an iPhone 4 from DiGi?
It's a smartphone. And it's smart. It's like a smaller iPad, or some might say an iPad that can do phone calls (yeke?). With the DiGi iPhone plan, i can fully utilize all the features in the iPhone. Voice Calls, Video Calls (or the new FaceTime feature), SMS, MMS, Facebook, Twitter etc.

To show off the stylish and trendy smartphone. I know some of you guys are thinking of purposely leaving the phone on the table during meetings, just to show it off. Kan? Haha.

What If I’m a Russian Spy

Bagaimana kalau aku jadi seorang Russian Spy..aku sendiri tertanya-tanya. Sudah tentu aku akan kelihatan seperti seorang Russian, berbahasa Russian dengan fasih sekali level 1, tahan sejuk sehingga (-30c maksimum), dan memiliki segala skill yang wajib ada pada seorang spy. Alahai, kalau susah sangat nak faham, baca sajalah pictorial story aku dibawah. Versi International (English), dan agak panjang..special edition tau!

Okay, I'm a Russian Spy (Rrrrrussian Spy). Don't ask me why, because it's all written. It's in the script. Just go with the flow. So obviously as a Rrrrrussian Spy, I'm taking orders from Mother Rrrrrrussia. So my next mission is related to the football fever that's happening around the world. However the situation is not so good. The President is not enjoying any of the games due to a disturbing sounds which identified coming from an instrument called "V-u-v-u-z-e-l-a". (but could be he's frustrated because Rrrrussia didn't quality for the finals). So my next mission objectives are :

To accomplish my mission, first need to check on my tools. Need to look tough. Vuvuzela can be a life-threatening weapon, so I must be prepared to face any circumstances. Weapons...CHECK! 

Next, kidnap the suspect (easy task) and...

Then, spread the joy to the world..oh, look at all that happy faces..

Finally, no more annoying sounds..no more!! 

A very happy football fan! 

Mission Accomplished!! Back to Motherland Rrrrussia..As long as the President is happy..I take it as my job is done!

My Water Moments

Sejak tahun 2003, aku ketagih dengan satu hobi baru iaitu Fotografi. Secara automatik, hobi ini memerlukan sejenis alat yang dicipta pada tahun 1978 iaitu kamera digital, atau ada juga yang menggelarkannya Digital Point and Shoot Camera (PnS). Kalau tak silap aku kamera digital PnS yang pertama dicipta oleh Konica.

Kamera pertama aku ialah Sony Cybershot P10 yang dibeli dengan duit hasil kerja part-time tahun pertama aku di Jepun. Bila hobi mengambil gambar, sudah tentu aku perlukan sebuah kamera yang mobile, tahan lasak, resolusi tinggi dan memiliki bateri yang lama. Kamera Sony Cybershot P10 aku bertahan hanya 3 tahun, mungkin kerana ia tidak tahan lasak, al-maklumlah aku gunakan bawa kamera itu merata-rata tak kira cuaca.

Jadi tidak mustahil kamera itu cepat merajuk. Pernah jatuh ketika main snowboarding di Togakushi, basah akibat ambil gambar di kaki air terjun Suzaka dan macam-macam lagi situasi yang betul-betul tough pada sebuah digital kamera.

Semua ini mungkin tidak menjadi masalah dengan model kamera terbaru dari SONY iaitu Cyber-shot TX5. Thanks to iklan-iklan Nuffnang yang beri info tentang kamera terbaru ini. Aku mungkin tidak akan rasa risau sekiranya membawa kamera Cyber-shot TX5 sambil bermain snowboard, atau pergi berkelah di tepi air terjun, atau mungkin jalan-jalan ambil gambar waktu malam di I-City. Ini kerana semua ciri-ciri menarik yang terdapat pada kamera Cyber-shot TX5 seperti :

Dengan adanya ciri-ciri tersebut, tiada lagi gambar blur aku terutamanya moment-moment penting seperti berlatar belakangkan resort ski cantik. Dan aku tidak gusar lagi menanti hari hujan renyai, atau bergambar di tepi kolam, sungai, laut, tepi air terjun dan sebagainya yang berunsur air. Menarik juga kalau dibawa ke Universal Studios Singapore nanti..hehe (bila lah tu kan?)

Sebenarnya sebuah kamera PnS compact amat penting. Tak guna memiliki kamera professional DSLR kalau tak larat nak heret kemana saja kita pergi. Al-maklumlah saiznya besar, berat pula tu. Lens perlu bertukar ganti mengikut situasi. Dan paling penting, tidak water-proof, dan shock-proof. Mungkin ya, tapi terhad kepada kamera professional yang berharga berpuluh ribu ringgit. Itu sudah pasti No-No to Me! Jadi sebuah kamera yang all-rounder macam SONY Cyber-shot TX5 sudah pasti menjadi rakan baik kepada peminat fotografi. It's all about the moment, and to capture the moment. Sebab itu aku perlukan sebuah kamera sehebat Cyber-shot TX5. Apatah lagi kamera kalis air yang ternipis di dunia!

I wanna be The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

Kalaulah aku berpeluang, aku nak jadi The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Kalau korang tak faham apa maksud apprentice, senang kata Protege lah. Sorcerer tu jadi Mentor aku. Haaa faham dah? Okay nice. Jadi apa aku nak buat kalau aku berjaya jadi the sorcerer's apprentice? Uihh banyak weh. 

Bila dah berguru dengan ahli sihir, mestilah aku ada power. Bukan takat pistol berapi, atau pedang letrik macam Power Rangers, ini lebih mantap weh. Jangan kata tembak bola api dari tangan, celah hidung, celah ketiak, semua boleh keluar bola api. Jadi jangan bikin panas dengan aku, aku tembak kiri kanan depan belakang nanti. Haha

Kalau aku diberi pilihan, aku nak ada kuasa untuk hilangkan semua Vuvuzela yang ada di South Africa. Sebab bising nak mampus mengganggu aku nak tengok siaran lansung bola sepak di TV. Siapa tiup je Vuvuzela aku petik jari, terus meletup Vuvuzela tu. Sebagai bonus, bengkak mulut orang yang tiup Vuvuzela itu. Oh ya, power aku sangat hebat, bukan takat South Africa saja, di mana-mana dunia ni kalau tiup je meletup terus! Aman dunia!
