Dengan pengalaman lebih 15 tahun di dalam industri penerbitan, beliau merupakan seorang pengarah dan penerbit yang amat berpengalaman. Memulakan kariernya sebagai eksekutif akaun dalam pengiklanan konsep (India). Kemudian beliau beralih ke bidang pembikinan filem dan menyertai UTV India sebuah syarikat pengiklanan, filem & televisyen yang terkenal di sana sebagai penerbit eksekutif dan pengarah. Meneruskan khidmat beliau di Antah-UTV (M) Sdn Bhd sehingga tahun 2001 dan selepas itu memutuskan untuk bergerak sendiri.

Beliau telah menerbit dan mengarah beberapa iklan, korporat, rancangan televisyen dan video syarikat di Malaysia, Singapura dan India.

Beliau juga telah mengarah komersil untuk Storm Mitsubishi, Pelancongan Sarawak, Air Mineral Bleu. Baru-baru ini beliau telah mengarah Video Korporat untuk Berjaya Resort dan Hotels in Pulau Langkawi, Redang & Tioman.

Bagi rancangan televisyen di Malaysia, beliau telah mengarah program-program seperti (Astro) Idaman 1 & 2, Bila Larut Malam, (NTV7) Jodoh dan Mastura, (TV3) Ah-ha!, Telemovie Primadona (Pemenang Penerbitan Terbaik, Sinematografi Terbaik, Solekan Terbaik di Anugerah PPPFM 2000, Filem Terbaik, Penerbitan Terbaik di Pesta Perdana Suria 2001), Talk About Love, sebuah sitcom di TV2 (pencalonan untuk Komedi Terbaik di Anugerah Teklevisyen Asian)

Beliau juga merupakan Line Producer bagi filem Bollywood 'DON' yang dibintangi Shah Rukh Khan.

Dalam tahun 2006, beliau telah mengarahkan filem Cinta untuk Grand Brilliance dan mempunyai 3 lagi filem yang akan diarah beliau untuk Grand Brilliance dan Tayangan Unggul pada tahun 2007.

Beliau juga merupakan Journalist Drama bagi Star Newspaper dan telah mengarahkan telenovela 75 episod Manjalara dan 25 episod drama Kasih Suci untuk TV3.

Antara hasil karya Kabir Bhatia yang ditayangkan dalam tahun 2009 termasuklah Kekasihku Seru dan Tower 13. Di layar perak pula filem Cinta, Sepi, Setem.
